Global Warming Chartbook Forget the last 100,000 years. Business-as-usual extrapolation of trends from the last fifty years indicates a 1.5 degree Celsius rise in global temperature over the next fifty years. Given everything we're experiencing now, this is a horrendous prospect. We must change course and accelerate progress toward a clean energy future. The Trump administration is doing quite the opposite, eliminating subsidies for renewables and promoting fossil fuels. They are also severely cutting agencies like NOAA, including global CO2 and temperature monitoring, thereby rendering us blind to emerging climate risks.
